The UN and World Health Organisation say immediate action is needed to avert the threat of famine in Gaza.
It comes as a protest rally calling for tougher sanctions against Israel makes its way across Dublin city this lunchtime.
The National Demonstration for Palestine began at the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin at 1pm today.
Protestors marched from there to Leinster House for a rally outside the Dáil.
Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign Chairperson, Zoe Lawlor says they want the new Government to take action.
“The aim is to demand media sanctions on Israel,” she said.
“We're over a year into this genocide and we want to see meaningful action from the incoming Government to sanction Israel for its crimes against the Palestinians.
“We're also [here] to show Palestinians, you know, that we're still in solidarity with them, even as the atrocities get worse.”
At least 14 people are reported to have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza overnight.
