The plan to cut services at Loughlinstown Hospital in Dublin could be a matter of life and death for some patients.

That's according to People before Profit.

The party's opposing the plan to downgrade Loughlinstown Hospital's 24 hour A&E service to a day time minor injuries unit.

It's holding a protest outside Loughlinstown Hosiptal at 2pm today.

Loughlinstown serves 160,000 people in South County Dublin and Wicklow and treats 20,000 patients each year.
