A protest will take place outside the Labour Party's headquarters in Dublin this morning, calling for the repeal of the 8th Amendment, while protesters will carry suitcases, to symbolise women who travel abroad to access abortions.
The article of the constitution gives the unborn child equal rights to the mother, and outlaws abortion.
The protest comes ahead of a vote in the Dáil next week on a bill calling for the repeal of that law.
