The PSNI are appealing for information after a container holding 50 beef carcasses was stolen in Co Armagh.
The 40 foot refrigerated container was taken from a premises on the Red Lion Road area of Loughgall at 1am on Friday.
It was later recovered by gardaí in Dundalk. However, a significant amount of the beef had been removed.
Police are asking anyone who may have information to contact them.
Inspector Leslie Badger said: “This is a distinctive container; and I am appealing to anyone with information, or who noticed any suspicious activity, to contact us.”
Tyrone robbery
Elsewhere, PSNI detectives are also appealing for information following an armed robbery in Co Tyrone on Friday evening.
Two men are reported to have entered a business premises in the Granville Road area of Dungannon at around 8.20pm armed with a knife and iron bar.
According to detectives, it is believed one of the men hit the iron bar on the counter and demanded money, while the other pointed a knife at a female member of staff.
The men took a sum of money and fled the premises.
One of the men is described as being in his mid-twenties, approximately 5’ 5” in height and of slim build. He had a white scarf around his head and was wearing a black hooded top and black gloves.
The second suspect is described as being the taller of the two and was wearing a dark green bomber-style jacket with the hood up.
Detective Sergeant Robinson said the incident was "an absolutely terrifying experience for the member of staff who was left visibly shaken".
He has asked anyone who can assist them with their investigation to contact them.
