The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) says it is trying to identify a man whose body washed ashore in Co. Down on Sautrday.
The remains were discovered in the sea close to Ardglass harbour.
A post mortem examination is being carried out.
The man is described as 30-40-years-old, of medium build, 5-feet-8 inches tall with light facial stubble and a round face.
The dark-haired man was wearing a navy woolen jumper over a stripy blue top, blue jeans and brown casual trainers.
He was carrying Euros on him.
Police are therefore investigating the possibility that he may have traveled North from the Republic.
Anyone who recognises this description or think they know who this man may be is asked to contact police in Downpatrick on 00-44-845-600-8000.
