Police in north Belfast investigating the murder of Basil McAfee are renewing their appeal for information.
Today marks the one year anniversary since the body of Mr McAfee (50) was discovered.
he was last seen publicly in an off-licence on the Cavehill Road in north Belfast on the afternoon of Thursday December 19th, 2013.
The following day, his mother discovered his body at his home in Henderson Avenue. He had suffered a violent death.
Police believe the attacker had an axe and a long-bladed knife.
In the past year, three people have been arrested in relation to the investigation, however nobody has been charged.
Detectives say they have spoken to a number of people who saw Mr McAfee alive at his home in Henderson Avenue on that day - but they believe there are others who visited the house and have not yet come forward.
