Police in the North are appealing for information following an alleged hate crime on a bus in Belfast earlier this week.

The incident occurred on a bus travelling from the city centre towards north Belfast at around 10pm on Wednesday night.

It is understood a girl in her teens was verbally abused by a woman, aged in her 40s, for a large part of the journey.

The abuse was related to the race of the teenager.
