Police have confirmed a murder inquiry is underway into the deaths of three people in Newry, County Down.
The bodies of a 38-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl were found at a flat in Glin Ree Court at around 11.00am this morning.
PSNI Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy said investigators are "not currently seeking anyone else" in connection with their investigation.
The cause of death has not yet been established and the three people have yet to be formally identified.
“Our investigation is ongoing at present and our thoughts at this time are very much with the loved ones of those who have died,” said Detective Superintendent Murphy.
A large number of police officers are in the area, which has been cordoned off.
Detective Superintendent Murphy said: "The circumstances of the deaths will now be subject to investigation and postmortem examinations will take place in due course."
"At this stage it would not be appropriate to elaborate further on the circumstances as our enquiries at an extremely early stage."
MLA Justin McNulty has an office not far from the scene.
He said: "Devastating news breaking, which is that there's three bodies been found under suspicious circumstances.
"So a dark cloud is hanging over Newry today".
