The PSNI Serious Crime Branch has now concluded its search of a farmhouse where they found number of items including: timer units, detonators, fuses; 6 pipe bombs and component parts for other devices; a suspected firearm with around 100 rounds of ammunition; approx 500kg of fertilizer, home made explosives; and forensic suits and gloves.

Detective Superintendent Kevin Geddes says that "the items recovered have the potential to cause injury, damage and death"

He added that Northern Ireland is a safer place with these items beyond the reach of the dangerous individuals who would seek to use them.

A 43-year-old man arrested in Kinawley on Wednesday remains in police custody this afternoon.
