Northern Ireland's Police Chief Constable is warning that communities will be condemned to another decade without hope unless rioting in Belfast stops for good.
Matt Baggott says the level of protest such as that seen on Friday night is completely unacceptable- 56 officers were injured during loyalist rioting.
The Northern Ireland Secretary Theresa Villiers is appealing for calm ahead of another republican parade in the North today, this time in county Tyrone.
It's feared the violence could escalate even more.
On Friday seven arrests were made in Belfast and six men were charged.
Matt Baggott is urging politicians and community leaders to press home the message that politics is the only way forward.
