Psychiatric nurses are to engage in industrial action later this month.
They will begin a work to rule on Wednesday, March 26th in a row over staffing levels and cuts.
Michael Hayes from the Psychiatric Nurses Association said there simply isn't enough staff to handle the workload.
“On teams where we should have five, we have three nurses - instead of four nurses on certain teams, we have three or two nurses,” he said.
“We don't have fully resourced teams out there that people actually believe we have.
“The gaps in between, either in residential or acute services or community services, are being filled by overtime.”
