Dublin firefighters deserve a round of a-paws after rescuing two puppies from an apartment fire.

Crews from Tara Street and Dolphins Barn were called to the blaze in the city centre early on Monday morning.

Firefighters Paul and Alex took two family pets to safety during the operation.

One person was also rescued by a breathing apparatus team.
