The funeral of Colin Polland, who drowned while trying to rescue a teenager from a disused quarry will take place today.
The 39-year-old will be laid to rest in Co. Down later this afternoon.
He died alongside Kevin O'Hare, 15, at a disused quarry in Annalong last Saturday.
It is understood a group of boys were swimming at the quarry at Glassdrumman Road when one of them got into difficulty.
Friends ran for help and Mr Polland tried to rescue teenager Kevin O'Hare, who was from Co. Down.
Mr Polland was originally from the area, but lived in England and had returned for a holiday.
Emergency crews, including police divers, were involved in an operation to recover the bodies from the former granite quarry - a popular site for swimmers.
Mr Polland's funeral will take place at Bryansford Church in Co. Down at 1 O'clock today.
