Donald Trump has launched a crackdown on illegal immigration, just hours after his return to the Oval Office.
The 47th President of the United States signed a number of executive orders designed to make life harder for those in America without the correct documentation.
One order denies US citizenship to those born to undocumented parents - a decision that is likely to be ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.
While another announced a national emergency on America’s border with Mexico.
On Newstalk Breakfast, former Nevada Republican State Chairwoman Amy Tarkanian said that Trump was delivering on his promises to the American people.
“It’s important for the public to understand that these changes are going to be happening quite swiftly,” she said.
“One of his campaign promises was to close the border, secure the border and stop illegal immigration coming through - and that’s already starting.
“The Border Patrol App that the Biden Administration had put together for immigrants to log into has already been shut down.
“So, it’s happening quicker than you can blink.”
All illegal aliens seeking entry into the United States should turn back now. Anyone entering the United States without authorization faces prosecution and expulsion.

Trump has also announced, just like he did during his first term, that the United States will no longer be part of the Paris Climate Agreement that calls on governments to pursue efforts “to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.”
Instead, the administration has already begun to roll back on a number of green policies introduced by President Biden.
“He’s also mentioned getting rid of the regulations on the mandate on electric vehicles,” Ms Tarkanian said.
“Getting rid of the Green New Deal, getting back out of the Paris Climate Accord, making sure that the people who do the offshore drilling are still being able to move forward and retrieve what he calls ‘liquid gold’.
“That way America can benefit from our natural resources.”
In his inauguration speech yesterday, Trump promised the American people a “golden age”.
It is sweeping rhetoric that Ms Tarkanian hopes he will deliver on.
“From watching his first term, it started out extremely hopeful and ended up pretty chaotic,” she said.
“It was disappointing in the very end.
“So, I would like to give him grace and I hope that’s he’s actually learned - he’s had to learn things the hard way.
“I would hope for the sake of our nation, for the sake of our world, that things are going to be even more exceptional.”
Following his inauguration, Taoiseach Simon Harris wished Trump “every success in his term-in-office" and that he hoped to build on the “strong, enduring, and dynamic relationship between our two countries”.
