Today
Rain across Munster will spread northwards this morning, finally reaching Ulster early this afternoon.
Later in the afternoon the rain will turn to snow in places as the winds become more northeasterly in direction and temperatures drop to between 1 and 5 degrees.
A clearance will develop from the west of the country during the evening.
Tonight
The last of the rain and snow will clear into the Irish Sea early tonight and strong northwesterly winds will develop over Leinster for a time.
It will then become generally dry for a good deal of the night but showers will develop in the west by morning.
Lows of 0 to 2 degrees with frost in places.
Moderate northwest winds.
