Rape Crisis councillors want people to know their services are available 24/7 right across Christmas and the New Year.
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre says no one should feel afraid or embarrassed if they need to ask for help.
Chief Executive Rachel Morrogh says they understand that violence doesn't take a break for Christmas.
"The National Rape Crisis Helpline is open 24 hours, 365 days a year," she said.
"We are appealing to anyone who has experienced sexual violence, or maybe a friend or family member has experienced sexual violence, to reach out.
"We know sexual violence doesn't stop for Christmas, but neither will we."
