Rhasidat Adeleke has made history by becoming the first Irish woman to reach an Olympic sprint final.
The 21-year-old from Tallaght came second in her semi-final with a time of 49.95 seconds.
Having won a silver medal at the European Championships in Rome earlier this year, Adeleke will be hoping to secure a medal for Ireland at the Olympics.
The 400m final will take place this Friday at 7pm in the Stade de France. Adeleke is the only Irish woman ever to break the 50-second mark over 400m.
Paris 2024 has been Ireland's most successful games yet, with Team Ireland returning seven medals in total, including four gold and three bronze.
