President Michael D Higgins has cast his ballot in the two constitutional referendums at the Phoenix Park.
It is the 82-year-old's first public appearance since he was released from hospital earlier this week.
He was hospitalised last Thursday after being assessed by a doctor at Áras an Uachtaráin.
He was then taken to St James's Hospital for tests and to have his blood-pressure monitored.
President Higgins continued working while in hospital, considering two pieces of legislation.
He was discharged from hospital yesterday.
He voted earlier this afternoon alongside his wife Sabina and was seen smiling and talking to the presiding officer.
Voters are being asked to vote on the Family Amendment and the Care Amendment.
Here's a look at what you need to know.
Polling stations are open until 10pm tonight.
