/> Hospital consultants are to vote individually on whether to accept proposed work practice reforms aimed at delivering savings of 200 million euro.

The Irish Hospital Consultants’ Association, which held its annual meeting yesterday, said it will not enter into a collective agreement on the proposals.

However Health Minister James Reilly says he intends to press ahead with the new work practices on the fifth of November, even without agreement from the consultants.
