Bus Éireann will be operating an enhanced service - the East Coast Commuter Corridor - from Sunday.
The reliability of Bus Éireann's newest service, the East Coast Commuter Corridor, is top priority for executives.
Bus Éireann announced the new East Commuter Corridor. It will mean an improvement of services to routes in Louth, Meath, Wicklow, Dublin and Fingal.
Bus Éireann Chief Executive Stephen Kent said he is keen to address and improve the sustainability and punctuality of bus services.
“That promises customers and people intending to travel more sustainably via bus more frequency, increased accessibility and more capacity,” he said.
Route 101 from Drogheda to Busáras, via Dublin Airport, will become a full 24-hour service with 293 departures each way per week.
Route 101x from Drogheda to Wilton Terrace in Dublin, via Balbriggan, will now operate with increased double-decker buses to accommodate demand.
Route 133 from Wicklow town to Busáras via Ashford will be rerouted so it will no longer serve Bray and increase to 143 departures each way.
Mr Kent said this will address issues with punctuality and reliability when travelling from Wicklow to Dublin.
A new service, route 131, will instead travel between Bray and Wicklow town. It will have 112 departures each way per week and will connect passengers with the Dart via Bray station.
