Remains found in Dublin in April have been identified as those of a man missing since 2011.
Stephen Corrigan - who lived in the Cork Street area of Dublin 8 - had been missing since 22nd November 2011.
A number of appeals had been issued by gardaí in the years following Stephen's disappearance in a bid to trace his whereabouts.
Human remains were discovered in Rathmines on 9th April, and they have now been positively identified as those of Stephen Corrigan.
It follows DNA analysis using a sample provided by Stephen's mother, who has since passed away.
She was the only other known blood relative of Stephen, and gardaí are now working to identify any surviving members of his family.
