The remains of a 29-year-old man who has been missing since 2018 in County Roscommon have been discovered.

Lithuanian national Tomas Martinkus was reported missing from his home in Strokestown on December 19, 2018.

He was last seen at around 5am that morning.

Mr Martinkus had lived and worked in the Strokestown area for two years prior to his disappearance.

Previous to this he resided in Dungannon, Northern Ireland.

No further information is available at this time.
