Gardaí have renewed their appeal for a man who went missing from Cork this time last year.

John Keaveney, aged 43, was last seen in the MacCurtain Street area of Cork city between midnight and 12.30am on August 21st, 2023.

Gardaí and his family are “very concerned” for his welfare and are renewing their appeals for information one year on.

Mr Keaveney was last seen walking toward Centre Park Road or the Marina area of the city, wearing grey trousers, a grey Umbro hoodie with the Irish soccer logo, and white runners.

He is described as being around 5’9” in height, bald and of slim build with brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station.
