Gardai are renewing their appeal for information on the 16th anniversary of the disappearance of Deirdre Jacob.
The trainee teacher (18) was last seen at 3pm on Tuesday July 28th 1998 at the entrance to her home on the Barrettstown Road in Roseberry, Newbridge, Co Kildare.
At the time she went missing she was carrying a black canvas bag with the words "CAT" printed in yellow on it.
She had walked to Newbridge from her home in Roseberry and called to the Post Office, AIB bank and her grandmother's - before setting off back towards home again.

Gardaí immediately commenced an investigation into her disappearance and extensive searches were carried out. The investigation into her disappearance remains on-going.
A case review of her disappearance is being carried out by the Serious Crime Review Team at the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
