Revenue has seized €14,300 in cash as part of routine profiling in Co Wexford.

Revenue officers, with the assistance of detector dog Flynn, stopped and searched a vehicle that had disembarked a ferry from Cherbourg, France on Monday.

A man, originally from Romania but now living in Ireland, was questioned.

On Tuesday, Revenue officers were granted a three month cash detention order by Judge Bernadette Owens at Wexford District Court.

Officials say investigations are ongoing.
