Drink and cigarettes worth €20,344 have been seized by customs officers at Dublin Port on Saturday. More than 19,000 cigarettes, tobacco and more than 1,000 litres of alcohol were included in the haul.
The brands 'Kent', 'Marlboro', 'Lucky Strike', 'Winchester', 'Rothmans', 'L&M' and 'Winston' cigarettes and 'Camel' tobacco were discovered.
The contraband was hidden in two Romanian buses and an Irish van.
Three revenue sniffer dogs were involved in the operation, which saw the contraband come off a ferry from Holyhead.

The goods had a potential loss to the exchequer of €9,255.
In the first six months of the year, 1.7 million cigarettes have been seized - as well as 243 kilos of tobacco.
