Officers from Revenue's Customs Service today seized 1.16kgs of heroin and 1.1kgs of amphetamine with a total estimated street value of EUR190,000 at Rosslare Europort.
The drugs were discovered when drug dog Ralph gave a positive reaction when a van was stopped as it disembarked a ferry from France.
A small quantity of steroids, cigarettes, tobacco and alcohol were also seized.

Two Lithuanian nationals - one in his thirties and one in his forties - were arrested and taken to Wexford Garda Station.
