Banking app Revolut is to offer car insurance to Irish customers.
A waitlist is being rolled out from today, with the launch set for this spring.
The company has said this will see "flexible and transparent pricing."
There will also be additional discounts of up to 25%, if customers enable a 'Smart Driving' feature.
This is a device that plugs directly into a car's accessory socket, and prices customers individually based on their driving behaviour.
Revolut has said customers using the 'Smart Driving' feature will have the ability to get better rates every year.
"Revolut will be the first in the market to provide an app-based car insurance journey, making insurance more convenient for customers," the company said.
"The quick and easy onboarding journey is fully digital with less than five minutes to get a quote for those eligible - several times faster than the market standard".
Balázs Gáti is Revolut General Manager Insurance.
"We're delighted to announce that Revolut Car Insurance will soon be available in our superapp, offering our customers in Ireland a convenient way to insure their vehicles," he said.
"We have worked to provide great pricing, flexible and bespoke plans, and a hassle-free user experience".
The company has rolled out a number new products recently, including offering credit cards to Irish customers.
Revolut says it has more than 28 million customers worldwide, and more than two million in Ireland.
