What was first believed to be a very embarrassing attempt at a Banksy imitation has actually turned out to be just a very embarrassing mistake for a city council.

During the redesign and upgrades of roads, workmen have managed to misspell the word 'Bus Stop' when painting the road markings in Old Market, Bristol - the hometown of the famed graffiti artist.

The words 'Bup Stop' were painted instead in yellow stenciled lettering earlier last week.
