It has emerged that the National Roads Authority hasn't got the needed funds to maintain the country's new national roads network next year.
According to a report in today's Irish Independent, the NRA is 100-million euro short of the amount required.
As a result some work, due to be carried out next year, will be postponed until 2014.
45 priority road projects remain suspended on the orders of the Government because of budgetary cutbacks.
