Clerys Department Store in central Dublin is to remain closed today after part of its roof collapsed following overnight havy rain.
The firm says that at approximately 12:10am, the building on O’Connell Street was damaged and that damage assessment is being carried out.
Dublin fire brigade attended the scene and the dangerous buildings section of Dublin City Council has launched an investigation.

The torrential rainfall in Dublin overnight also caused a partial roof collapses at the Mater Hospital.
The fire service attended the minor roof collapse in the high dependency unit at the hospital.
It happened in the old hospital building near the nurses' station. A small number of patients were temporarily resassigned to other beds.
All hospital services are operating as normal. No-one was injured in either incident.
