The insurance company RSA which owns the 123.ie brand has been forced to inject up to 83 million euro in its Irish operations.
It follows an investigation by the company which found that it wasn't setting aside enough money to deal with all potential compensation claims.
The company's Chief Executive and a number of other executives have been suspended pending a full investigation.
