The Road Safety Authority is appealing to motorists to redouble their efforts to help keep themselves, and all road users, safe this Bank Holiday weekend.
Over three hundred speeding motorists have been caught this weekend during the Garda campaign called operation slowdown which ran from yesterday morning to this morning.
Gardai say they checked nearly 55-thousand vehicles and will continue to do so over the course of the weekend.
