The Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev says Bashar al-Assad has made a 'grave and potentially fatal' error by failing to reform. 

Mr Medvedev says the Syrian President should have reached out to the peaceful opposition groups before the months of bloodshed began. 

The Prime Minister's comments come as Syrian troops and rebels clash around a train station in Damascus.

Over 120 people are reported to have been killed across the country yesterday.
