Other presenters included in the list of RTÉ’s highest-paid presenters in 2022 include Joe Duffy (€351,000) and Claire Byrne (€350,000), placing second and third respectively.
Miriam O'Callaghan (€253,500) and Ray Darcy (€305,000) completed the top five.
RTÉ said the list does not include VAT or fees paid through independent production companies for some content commissioned by the broadcaster.
RTÉ Deputy Director-General, Adrian Lynch, said the broadcaster is hoping to reduce the earnings of its top-paid stars over the coming years.
“RTÉ has committed to reducing the cost of its highest-paid presenters to ensure that no contractors or employees will earn more than the Director-General,” he said.
“Our presenters play an important role in RTÉ’s provision of vital news, information, and entertainment to audiences right across the country and enable us to generate commercial revenue which is essential to fund RTÉ’s public services.”
