Around 900 jobs at risk at Ryanair
Ryanair is considering cutting 900 jobs and pulling back on plans to hire 600 others due to the crisis facing Boeing and the "increasing likelihood" of a no-deal Brexit.
In a video message to staff seen by Newstalk.com, CEO Michael O'Leary said the carrier has an excess of more than 500 pilots and about 400 flight attendants.
A final decision on the cuts is expected by the end of next month.
McDonald - "Unthinkable" to prevent vote on Irish unity under no deal Brexit
The Sinn Féin President has warned the UK Prime Minister that it would be "unthinkable" to deny people the opportunity to vote on Irish unity if the UK crashes out of the EU without a deal.

More than 10,000 people remain in emergency accommodation despite slight decrease
There has been a slight increase in the number of people in emergency accommodation - but the latest homeless figures show the number remains above 10,000 people.
Figures released for June show 6,497 adults and 3,675 children in emergency accommodation, a total of 10,172 people.
That's down from the 10,253 figure recorded in May, a drop of 81 people.
First phase of National Children's Hospital opens in north Dublin
The first part of the new National Children's Hospital project is opening in Dublin.
The new paediatric outpatient and urgent care centre at Children's Health Ireland (CHI) at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown will see patients from Wednesday.
The new facility will offer services to children, young people and their families in the local area - as well as those in Dublin north city and county and surrounding areas in Kildare and Meath.
Two jailed for helping criminal gang murder Vincent Ryan in Dublin
Two men have been jailed for a total of 20 years for helping a criminal gang murder Vincent Ryan in Dublin in 2016.
36-year-old Paul O Beirne from Colepark Drive in Ballyfermot was sentenced to nine years and 37-year-old Jeffrey Morrow of Burnell Court in Coolock was sentenced to 11 years.
The court heard they facilitated a criminal organisation by providing and destroying the car used in the murder of Vincent Ryan.
