Jamie Kelly and Katie Moreau, who met on a Ryanair flight two weeks ago, finally went on their first date and have said it went great.

The pair met on a Ryanair flight from Barcelona to Dublin, but got separated at customs. Following a huge internet campaign, the couple were reunited and met earlier this week.

The 'love at first sight' romantics went on their first date to Waterford yesterday where they took part in a surfing lesson and a spot of shopping followed by dinner and drinks.

Jamie and Katie spoke to Ray Darcy on his radio show and told the presenter that the date went great and that there was a lot of chemistry between them.

"We have a lot of similar interests and we've the same sense of humour," added Jamie.

Unfortunately, however, Katie must return to Canada to finish her studies this week and the couple are unsure what will become of their relationship when she leaves.
