Ryanair has threatened to cut up to 10% of flights at UK airports over air travel price hikes.
Company CEO Michael O'Leary has said that UK tax increases on air travel will damage growth and increase the cost of flying.
Editor with Travel Extra, Eoghan Corry, said Ryanair has threatened to cut hundreds of UK flights, in a move that could affect up to five million passengers.
“Ryanair's reaction has been to say that they're going to pull some of the services that were planned for summer next year out of English, Scottish and Welsh airports,” he said.
“They reckon a reduction of about 10%, but there are no details.
“So, a lot could pan out between now and next summer.”
This comes following Labour’s decision to increase tax on airline tickets in the UK’s autumn budget.
