Gardaí have issued a renewed appeal for Sandra Collins who went missing 24-years ago.
Ms Collins was last seen on December 4th, 2000, at 11pm at the County Kitchen on George’s Street in Killala, County Mayo.
She was only 28-years-old at the time of her disappearance.
Over the years, Gardaí have remained in close contact with the Collins family and Detective Inspector John Costello thanked those members of the public who have helped them with the investigation to date.
“We are now appealing to those who may have additional information to please get in contact,” he said.
"Perhaps you have information you thought was insignificant at the time, or it could be that after 24 years have passed, your circumstances have now changed.
“Relationships change, loyalties change and people may not now be constrained by the set of circumstances that existed for them some 24 years ago.
“With that passage of time, people may feel more comfortable sharing information with us.”
Gardaí have said anyone who comes forward with information will be treated with “confidentiality, compassion and sensitivity”.
