Blustery or windy early this morning with heavy or prolonged thundery showers, some wintry, with falls of sleet, snow or hail in parts of Ulster and north Leinster.
Today, spells of rain will continue in Ulster.
Drier and brighter further south.
In the late afternoon and evening, rain will spread from the southwest over Connacht, Munster and Leinster.
Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees with fresh to strong, gusty westerly winds.
Tonight
Early tonight, rain will turn to sleet and snow over much of Munster and Leinster.
It will continue for a time and will gradually clear overnight.
A separate band of rain sleet and snow will move in from the west overnight and will bring snow accumulations to Connacht and Ulster by morning.
Lowest temperatures of 0 to 2 degrees.
