Some sleet is possible also, with a risk of snow on high ground, but becoming very mild in Munster and south Leinster. Drier conditions, with just scattered showers, will develop in the west and northwest during the morning and early afternoon and will extend gradually southeastwards, but rain will continue throughout the day in south Munster and the far south of Leinster.

Maximum temperatures 10 to 13 Celsius in the southern half of the country, but cold elsewhere, with values of just 3 to 6 Celsius. Very windy in south and southeast coastal counties, with strong southwest winds, but winds mostly light to moderate northeast or variable overland, backing northerly.
