In the north temperatures will be just 4 or 5 degrees, it'll be only slightly milder as we head south through the country with day time temperatures through the midlands of 5 to 7 degrees and about 8 or 9 degrees on the south coast.

Tonight outbreaks of rain in the southwest will quickly spread north and east to all areas and will be persistent and at times heavy overnight.
Accumulations will lead to local spot flooding.
Lowest temperatures will be between plus 1 and plus 3 degrees in the north and between 5 and 7 degrees in the south.
Southwest winds will ease and back southerly before falling light for much of the country, a strong westerly wind will develop in Munster.
The rain will clear to showers by morning.
