Scheme launched to offer funding to companies

The Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton has launched a new 175-million euro programme to provide additional funding for high-growth Irish companies.

The aim of the Seed and Venture Capital Scheme is to generate additional export sales and jobs within the economy.

The Minister has today issued the first call for for companies who are interested in applying for extra funds for their business.

Today's announcement is part of a key commitment under the Action Plan for Jobs 2013 and also plans to target an additional 525-million euro in funding from the private sector.
