It was only a matter of time before smart phones were made for pets - but now it is here.
There is a smart collar for dogs that allows you to talk to your pet when you are not at home.
It also has an inbuilt camera so you can see what your dog is up to when you are not around.
Motorola has created the collar, which can alert you when your dog is barking too much, and you can talk to him remotely to calm him down.
Alerts are sent through 3G to the owner's phone. The collar can even monitor your dog's health.
But there is a downside: as well as the cost of around €170, you have to sign up to a 12 month contract on top of your mobile phone bill.
Motorola unveiled the Scout 5000 smart collar at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The company also has plans for the Scout 2500 - a smaller version of the collar that does away with the video camera to make it more suitable for smaller dogs.
But it is OK - the manufacturer says the collar is chew, paw and splash proof.
