Sean Bean has told how he ventured out in drag to prepare for his new role as a transvestite.

The actor appears on television later this month, wearing a blonde wig and make-up in the Jimmy McGovern legal drama Accused.

The 53-year-old says he practised walking round in high heels at home – and one night went out arm-in-arm with his daughter.
