IBRC is disposed to accept an offer by Sean Quinn Jnr to sell his exclusive Dublin apartment in order to purge his contempt of court.
The High Court has heard the son of the jailed former billionaire is also to travel alone to Moscow to obtain information for IBRC relating to Russian bank accounts held by himself and members of his family.
Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne has described the developments as 'positive steps'.
She agreed on request from Shane Murphy SC, for IBRC, to put the case back until January 25th so both sides could work on practical arrangements, such as working out who will pay for Mr Quinn's trip.
Apartment in Castleknock
Last week, the court was informed that the bank was considering an offer by the 33 year old to sell his luxury penthouse apartment in Castleknock, which is valued at around 800 thousand euros.
It is owned by Sean Quinn and his wife of 7 months, Karen Woods, and it is where they currently reside.
Mr Quinn intends to hand into court his share of the sale in order to purge his contempt for facilitating a half a million dollars payment to Larissa Puga, a former director of Quinn Properties Ukraine.
The payment was in breach of court orders put in place to stop the Quinns moving assets beyond the reach of the former Anglo Irish Bank which is chasing the family for alleged debts of 2.8 billion euros.
It comes as his jailed father waits to find out if he'll be granted compassionate leave from Mountjoy prison to attend his granddaughter's christening on Saturuday.
