Jailed businessman Sean Quinn is once again without legal representation.
He has secured a court order for his solicitors Kevin R. Winters and Co. to come off-record.
It was during a recent visit to Mountjoy Prison that Mr. Quinn told his legal team that their services would no longer be required.
The 66-year-old is currently serving a 9-week sentence for contempt of court.
Letter given to court
Today Eugene Grant QC made the formal application for solicitors Kevin R. Winters to come off-record.
The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC) and other members of the Quinn's have adopted a neutral approach to the departure of his lawyers.
Because Mr. Quinn is in jail Mr. Grant handed a letter into court from the businessman confirming that these were his instructions.
No explanation for the move was given in open court.
In the autumn the Quinn's dropped their lawyers Eversheds for which the family cited thier financial constraints.
