Organisers of the Rose of Tralee are looking to recruit eligible male escorts for this year's festival.

The current Rose Elysha Brennan has challenged men from across the country to vie for one of the 68 spots available.

Escorts are tasked with looking after their Roses and ensuring they have a good time.

Successful applicants will take part in a team-building boot camp to prepare them for the big date.

"I can guarantee that all of the lads who decide to sign up for this year’s Festival will have the time of their lives," says Brennan.

"While there are responsibilities that come with the role, they will all manage to have great craic in Tralee! The friendships made during the Festival are lasting!"

Men between the ages of 21 and 30 years can apply, to be put through a Rose of Tralee boot camp and then look after their Rose during the August event.
