Gardai searching for a missing person at the scene of an explosion in Killarney yesterday have recovered the body of a man.
The search for local businessman James Gleeson has been ongoing since yesterday morning, following an explosion at a laundrette in Kenmare Place.
Mr. Gleeson, who worked in the laundrette where the blast is believed to have happened, is still missing despite continuing searches by Gardai.
The International and Ross Hotels were evacuated yesterday morning following the blast, while much of the building next door collapsed.
A small number of people suffered minor injuries in the explosion.
The blast site is siutated beside two busy hotels, the International and the Ross.
Both hotels were among the homes and businesses evacuated after the explosion shook the town centre.
Several streets were closed for a time and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
The search or Mr. Gleeson began again this morning at 7:30am.
