A search operation has resumed this morning for one of two men missing from Sheep's Head peninsula in West Cork.

Dutch friends, Roland Deckers (31) and Othman Rahmouni (33) went missing from Mr. Decker's family holiday home on the Sheep's Head peninsula last Saturday.

The body of one of the men was recovered on Monday afternoon. The search for the second man had to be stood down yesterday in galeforce winds.

Meanwhile Mr Deckers's parents and sister, along with Mr Rahmouni's two brothers, have arrived in West Cork to be briefed on the operation.

Only local units from the Valentia coastguard will participate in the shoreline searches, because weather conditions are extremely dangerous with force 7 or 8 winds and a massive swell.
